Throughout the year, the ArtWorks community meets a Young Artist from one of our programs who has used the creative and performing arts to help them cope with their illness.
“Hi, I’m Elliot but my friends call me Ellie! I am so excited to tell you why I love to do art! I am four years old turning five this month and I live in South Amboy, New Jersey. I go to St. Peter’s Hospital because I have Leukemia. My favorite animal is a rabbit, sometimes I even paint them pink! I like to make art because sometimes I get a little too tired and art helps me get my energy back. My favorite kind of art is making sculptures from recycled toys and painting them!”
