Throughout the year, the ArtWorks community meets a Young Artist from one of our programs who has used the creative and performing arts to help them cope with their illness.
We are so excited to highlight a very talented AND generous Young Artist who will be showcasing his artwork at this year’s Benefit, Sadman, 18!
Sadman joined ArtWorks just this year when his art therapist at NY-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center recommended he submit his artwork to the ArtWorks Express Yourself showcase. We are so thankful that he decided to share his beautiful masterpieces! He says, “Art is my best friend. I draw pictures because I think it is fun. I love drawing, especially realistic pictures.” The piece that Sadman donated to ArtWorks (River and Livelihood) is a special one because he says the piece reminds him of his home country (Bangladesh) and is one of the drawings he is most proud of.
We are extremely grateful to have such a talented, creative, and generous Young Artist as part of the ArtWorks family, and we can’t wait to see all the beautiful drawings Sadman creates in the future!
